Happy Diwali!

Happy Diwali!

Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is a five day long Hindu celebration.

The festival gets its name from the row of clay lamps that many observers light outside their homes to symbolize inner light protecting them from spiritual darkness.

Diwali celebrations involve sharing food, fireworks, lighting special candles and lamps, attending temples, and the gathering of family and friends.

Over the centuries, Diwali has become a festival that’s also enjoyed by many non-Hindu communities, including Jains, Sikhs and some Buddhists. You can wish all those who celebrate a “Happy Diwali!”
