Wellbeing Waterloo Region has created a 2-page document with some of the top psycho social and spiritual resources being accessed in Waterloo Region. The document is available here as a PDF.

It is important that we take care of ourselves and each other at this time. WWR has a page called Resources for Coping with Anxiety and Stress that has links to mental health resources and helpful suggestions for coping through difficult times.

The Friendly Voice Program (Ended September 2021)

The Friendly Voice is a phone-based general wellbeing check-in to enhance social connections and reduce loneliness in our community. The Friendly Voice program is staffed by trained volunteers with knowledge of local programs and services.

To register for the Friendly Voice program, please call 519-743-6333 and ask reception how to get started! Reception hours are 8:30am-6pm, but Friendly Voice hours may vary.

The Friendly Voice Program Alternatives

After a successful run, the Friendly Voice Program ended on September 30, 2021. Below are alternative services that can be used for wellbeing support.

For Seniors:
A Friendly Voice: Available to all of Ontario residents aged 55+ 7 days/week with evening hours.
VON Visiting for Mental Health: Available to seniors in Waterloo Region who have been diagnosed with long-term mental health issues.

For All Adults:
Community Care Concepts Friendly Visiting: Available to seniors and adults in Waterloo Region with special needs.
Community Support Connections Reassurance Calls: Available to anyone in Waterloo Region who is isolated.
